Kongsberg Discovery Drives Multibeam Innovation With FEMME 2026
The event brings together users of Kongsberg multibeam products and experts worldwide to accelerate innovation. A packed program will feature workshops, demonstrations, and papers enabling knowledge sharing, networking, and an open exchange of experiences.
Kongsberg Discovery has now issued a call for papers for FEMME 2026, providing a unique stage for third-party Multibeam specialists to engage with this niche global gathering.
Calling All Experts
“There is nothing quite like FEMME for users of advanced Multibeam technology,” comments Stene Førsund, EVP of Kongsberg Discovery. “It is a truly inspiring hub for developing understanding, innovation, and valuable partnerships throughout the industry, while also giving participants the chance to help forge the future of the sector with their own feedback and expertise.
“After the success of the 17th FEMME in Edinburgh two years ago, which, amongst other things, saw the launch of our breakthrough EM2042 multibeam echosounder, we’ve extended the program to four full days and are now seeking the industry’s best minds and partners to ensure optimum quality content for the hundreds of attendees. This is a collaborative initiative for collective multibeam progress and, as such, an essential calendar event for those at the front line of marine science and sustainable ocean development. We look forward to welcoming the industry to Genoa for next year’s FEMME.”
Something for Everybody
Alongside workshops, demonstrations, and presentations, attendees will also get the chance to take the pulse of the entire industry at FEMME’s exhibition stands, showcasing the very best third-party suppliers and Kongsberg multibeam partners.
In addition, those interested in after-hours networking will be able to make the most of the opportunity through tailored social events, including a gala dinner planned for the final evening.
Førsund concluded: “We want to ensure everyone gets optimal value out of participation at FEMME 2026, making new discoveries, building bonds, and contributing to future multibeam development. This is a vitally important niche sector, and we are committed to supporting the people and products that enable continuing success.”
